Why titanium?

There are many good reasons to choose a titanium frame. Ok, the price and the complex workmanship do not speak directly for this material. However, titanium's properties make it the bestl of all materials that can be used to build handmade bicycle frames. Lightness meets strength: Titanium is incredibly light and yet surprisingly robust. With a titanium bike you can tackle challenging routes with ease while having the peace of mind that your bike will stand up to the challenges. Durability for life: Titanium stands up to the elements. No corrosion, no rust - a titanium bike maintain its beauty and integrity over the years. This means that you are making an investment that is really worth it. Incomparable elegance: Titanium gives bicycles a first-class aesthetic. Each frame is a work of art in itself, with a smooth finish and a timeless appeal. Show style on and off the road! Versatile performance: On or off-road, titanium bikes deliver impressive performance in all environments. Your ride is incomparably smooth and responsive, allowing you to enjoy every ride to the fullest. Sustainability: Admittedly, the production of titanium is neither sustainable nor environmentally friendly. By the way, no more than carbon or aluminum. But titanium is durable because it doesn't rust and is very tough. Ideally, a titanium bike will accompany you throughout your life. And in doing so, you reduce the need for new purchases and thus contribute to conserving our resources. Choose the best. Choose titanium. Our exquisite titanium bicycles offer you a combination of elegance and performance that is second to none. Step into a world where every detail is crafted with precision to give you the ultimate driving experience. Welcome to the future of cycling – welcome to titanium bikes.

process

Each frame is prepared and built by hand in my workshop. By selecting the right titanium tubes, cutting and welding and finishing, a unique piece of craftsmanship is created.

Each frame tube is selected individually. Double butted tubes are used in the front frame triangle, which means that the tubes in the middle part are thinner than at the ends, where they are joined with the other frame tubes. This gives the frame the necessary rigidity and the desired flex. Chain and seat stays are bent by hand. This allows the frame to be adjusted exactly to the desired tire width and the selected drive components.

The pipes are cut to size and adapted to one another based on the desired geometry. This process requires the utmost attention. The pipe connections must have the highest precision so that they can be welded. Before all the pipes become the frame, further detailed work follows. Eyelets for bottle holders, openings for internal cable routing or soldered parts for luggage racks are attached. Here too, there are almost no limits to what you can wish for. And then the welding system is turned on and a unique titanium frame is created from individual tubes.

As soon as the frame is completely welded, which is done using the so-called double pass process (each weld seam is first joined with the existing material and then filled with filler in a second welding process), the finish begins. The frame is straightened, the surface is refined as desired, the bearing seats are milled and all threads are retightened. And finally, the frame becomes a bicycle by assembling the desired components. BONNE ROUTE
